I have been with SeekingSitters since April of 2007. I began my path at SeekingSitters as many of the corporate employees do, as a Professional Sitter. I was babysitting part-time while working
towards my degree in liberal arts and started in the Corporate office as a Team Leader. I quickly excelled in the corporate office and received my Private Investigator License in 2010.
I had the privilege of working with Joanne Whitney, founder of Hide and Seek, during my early days with Hide and Seek. Her knowledge has helped me form a detailed process of screening and investigations. My goal with Hide and Seek and SeekingSitters is to maintain the safest environment for our sitters, and the children they care for, by providing the most thorough background investigations.
I have been married to my best friend, Chuck, since 2006 and have been in the Tulsa area most of my life. In my spare time I love making jewelry and baking.
I was raised in Oklahoma and went to school at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, along with a minor in Liberal Arts,
which included studying English and Deaf Education. I started with SeekingSitters as a Professional Sitter in 2009 and after graduation joined the corporate office staff as an investigator with
SeekingSitters’ in-house investigation team.
My favorite thing about SeekingSitters is that it’s a family. We are all working together with the common goal of safety, but each of us has a part to play. As a previous sitter, I have a unique perspective in screening the families to make sure our sitters are going to safe homes. With my experience in working with the families, I appreciate how important it is to have a safe and reliable sitter to count on for childcare needs. No matter what “hat” I’m wearing in the corporate office, I know that everyone I work with is working for the same thing: Safety for families and sitters.
